Data Encryption with True Protection by Jag

True Protection by Jag includes a robust encryption module that helps you safeguard sensitive files and folders on your device. Whether you are protecting personal documents or confidential business data, encryption ensures that only authorized users can access your information.

Encryption Features

File Vault: Create encrypted containers (vaults) that appear as virtual drives on your system. Files placed inside a vault are automatically encrypted using AES-256.
Folder Encryption: Right-click any folder and select Encrypt with True Protection to encrypt its entire contents in place.
Full Disk Encryption Management: Monitor and manage BitLocker (Windows) or FileVault (macOS) status directly from the True Protection dashboard.
Portable Encryption: Create encrypted USB drive partitions for secure transport of sensitive files between devices.

Setting Up File Vault

Step 1: Navigate to Privacy > File Vault in the main menu.
Step 2: Click Create New Vault.
Step 3: Choose a location and size for the vault container.
Step 4: Set a strong password and optionally enable biometric unlock.
Step 5: Click Create. The vault will mount as a virtual drive where you can store files securely.

Best Practices

Always keep a backup of your vault password in a secure location. If you forget your vault password, the encrypted data cannot be recovered. Enable the Emergency Recovery Key option during vault creation to generate a one-time recovery key that can be stored safely offline.
