Keeping True Protection Updated
Regular updates ensure you have the latest threat definitions, performance improvements, and security features. True Protection by Jag supports both automatic and manual updates.
Automatic Updates
By default, True Protection automatically downloads and installs updates in the background. This includes:
- Threat Definition Updates: Released multiple times per day to cover newly discovered malware.
- Engine Updates: Periodic improvements to the scanning engine for better detection rates.
- Software Updates: Feature enhancements and bug fixes, typically released monthly.
Manual Update Check
- Step 1: Open True Protection by Jag.
- Step 2: Click the Update button on the dashboard, or go to Settings > Updates.
- Step 3: Click Check for Updates.
- Step 4: If an update is available, click Download and Install.
Update Settings
You can customize update behavior in Settings > Updates:
- Auto-download and install: Updates are applied silently in the background (recommended).
- Notify before installing: You will be prompted before major updates are applied.
- Manual only: Updates are only installed when you explicitly initiate them.
We strongly recommend keeping automatic updates enabled to maintain the highest level of protection at all times.
