True Protection Firewall
The built-in firewall in True Protection by Jag monitors all inbound and outbound network traffic, blocking unauthorized connections and protecting your device from network-based attacks.
Firewall Modes
- Automatic Mode: The firewall uses intelligent rules to allow legitimate traffic and block suspicious connections. This is the recommended setting for most users.
- Interactive Mode: You will be prompted each time an application attempts to access the network for the first time. This gives you full control over which programs can communicate.
- Block All Mode: All network traffic is blocked except for critical system communications. Use this mode temporarily when you suspect an active threat.
- Allow All Mode: The firewall monitors traffic but does not block anything. Only use this for troubleshooting purposes.
Creating Firewall Rules
- Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Firewall > Rules.
- Step 2: Click Add Rule.
- Step 3: Specify the application, direction (inbound/outbound), protocol (TCP/UDP), and port range.
- Step 4: Set the action to Allow or Block.
- Step 5: Save the rule. It takes effect immediately.
Network Profiles
The firewall automatically adjusts its behavior based on your network type:
- Home Network: Trusted environment with relaxed sharing rules.
- Work Network: Moderate security with common business port access.
- Public Network: Maximum security with strict incoming connection blocking. All file sharing and discovery protocols are disabled.
