Real-Time Protection
Real-time protection is the core defense layer of True Protection by Jag. It continuously monitors your system for threats and blocks malicious activity before it can cause harm.
How Real-Time Protection Works
When any file is created, modified, opened, or executed on your system, the real-time scanner intercepts the operation and checks the file against multiple detection methods:
- Signature-Based Detection: Compares files against a database of known malware signatures, updated multiple times daily.
- Heuristic Analysis: Examines file behavior patterns to detect new or modified threats not yet in the signature database.
- JagAI Cloud Analysis: Suspicious files are analyzed by our cloud-based JagAI engine for advanced threat detection using proprietary machine learning models.
- Behavioral Monitoring: Watches running processes for suspicious actions such as unauthorized registry modifications, keylogging, or data exfiltration attempts.
Protection Modules
- File Guard: Scans files on access, creation, and modification.
- Process Guard: Monitors active processes and blocks malicious behaviors.
- Web Shield: Blocks access to malicious, phishing, and fraudulent websites.
- Email Guard: Scans email attachments and links in supported email clients.
- Download Guard: Automatically scans files as they are downloaded from the internet.
Performance Impact
True Protection is engineered for minimal performance impact. The real-time scanner typically uses less than 2% CPU during normal operation and intelligently prioritizes scanning to avoid interfering with your work.
