End-of-Life Policy for True Protection Versions

True Protection by Jag follows a structured end-of-life (EOL) policy to ensure that all users receive the latest security protections and features. Understanding this policy helps you plan upgrades and maintain continuous protection.

Version Lifecycle Stages

  • Active Support: Full feature development, bug fixes, security patches, and signature updates. This is the current major version.
  • Extended Support: Security patches and signature updates only. No new features or non-security bug fixes. Lasts 12 months after a new major version is released.
  • End of Life: No further updates of any kind. The software continues to function but receives no new signatures, engine updates, or patches. Protection effectiveness degrades over time.

Current Version Status

  • Version 4.x: Active Support (current major version)
  • Version 3.x: Extended Support (signature updates only)
  • Version 2.x and earlier: End of Life (no updates)

Upgrading from EOL Versions

If you are running an end-of-life version, we strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version as soon as possible. Your settings and license will be preserved during the upgrade. Navigate to tpjsecurity.com/downloads to download the latest version, or contact support at [email protected] for upgrade assistance.

EOL Notifications

True Protection displays in-app notifications 90 days before a version reaches end of life, with reminders at 60, 30, and 7 days. Enterprise administrators receive email notifications and can view version status across their fleet in the Management Console.
