Fixing the "Protection Disabled" Error
If the True Protection dashboard shows a red shield with the message "Protection Disabled," one or more critical protection modules have been turned off or encountered an error. Follow these steps to restore full protection.
Common Causes
- A conflicting security program disabled True Protection services
- A system update or restart interrupted the protection services
- A user or administrator manually disabled protection modules
- Corrupted service files preventing startup
Resolution Steps
- Step 1: Click the Fix Now button on the dashboard warning banner. This attempts to restart all disabled protection modules automatically.
- Step 2: If the automatic fix does not resolve the issue, navigate to Settings > Protection and manually toggle each module back on.
- Step 3: Check for conflicting software. Other antivirus or security products can interfere with True Protection. Remove or disable the conflicting product.
- Step 4: Restart your computer and check if protection is restored.
- Step 5: If the problem persists, run the repair tool from Settings > General > Repair Installation.
If Nothing Works
If all of the above steps fail, download the latest installer from tpjsecurity.com/downloads and run it over your existing installation. This will repair system files without affecting your settings or license. Contact support at [email protected] if you need additional help.
